Saigon Opera House

Saigon Zoo & Botanical Gardens

 

Listed as one of the oldest zoos in the world, opened in 1865 by a French botanist, there are more than 550 animals and over 1,830 trees and 260 plant species with some dating back over 100 years. It is also home to a monument dedicated to Vietnamese killed in World War I.

Nguyen Hue Street

 

The first pedestrian-only street in Ho Chi Minh is also considered as one of the most beautiful streets in Ho Chi Minh City with lively decorations and water fountain system. During the Tet holiday, flowers of all kinds and colors decorated splendidly can be seen abounding the entire street!

Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica

 

Officially known as Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception, it was constructed in the late 19th century by the French colonists, it has two bell towers, which reach a towering height of 58 meters (190 feet)!

Independence Palace

 

Also known as Reunification Palace, the Independence Palace was both the home, and the workplace, for the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Do you know that it was where the Vietnam War ended during the Fall of Saigon on 30th April 1975?
